WHO WE ARE
We are a South African design studio dedicated to crafting lighting for people who consider atmosphere as carefully as layout.
We study how light behaves, how it interacts with people, and how people respond to it. Light transforms a space, day or night.
TWO SIDES
OF THE SAME PROCESS
Our studio operates across two interdependent spheres: MOS PRODUCTS and MAKERS OF STUFF. One informs the other; conceptually, materially, and practically.
This approach allows us to balance retail design and custom work, with insights flowing freely between the two.
MOS PRODUCTS
Our retail collection of hand-crafted lighting, ranges from simple pendants to large signature pieces. Products are available as-is or can be customised to suit specific project requirements.
MAKERS OF STUFF
DESIGN & MANUFACTURE
Our custom product design and manufacturing service. We develop tailored lighting and product solutions, from a single wall sconce to full ranges to on-site installations. We also offer product and project consulting, including brand-overhaul support when needed.
HOW WE MAKE IT
All of our products are designed and manufactured in South Africa, mostly in Gauteng, brought to life by a trusted network of local craftsmen, a human touch that defines the quality and character of what we make.
SHIPPING
We ship locally, across Africa and internationally.
Electrical components can be adapted to meet the requirements of different countries and individual projects.
Our packaging is designed for long distance transport, with custom made double wall cartons providing added protection. Larger or heavier products are packed in reinforced cartons, with box sizes optimised to transport multiple units safely and efficiently.
