We are a design studio specialising in lighting and decorative pieces that incorporate lighting.
Our designs focus on the aesthetics as well as the behaviour of light and its effects on people and space.
We are interested in how light shapes the character of an environment.
TWO SIDES
OF THE SAME PROCESS
Our studio operates across two interdependent spheres: MOS PRODUCTS and MAKERS OF STUFF. One informs the other; conceptually, materially, and practically.
This approach allows us to balance retail design and custom work, with insights flowing freely between the two.
MOS PRODUCTS
Our retail collection of handcrafted lighting, ranges from simple pendants to large signature pieces. Products are available as-is or can be customised to suit specific project requirements.
MAKERS OF STUFF
DESIGN & MANUFACTURE
Our custom product design and manufacturing service. We develop tailored lighting and product solutions, from a single wall sconce to full ranges to on-site installations. We also offer product and project consulting, including brand-overhaul support when needed.
HOW WE MAKE IT
All of our products are designed and manufactured in South Africa by a network of local craftsmen.
SHIPPING
We ship locally, regionally and internationally.
