BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM

MOS Boehringer Ingelheim_1.jpg

CLIENT: I4C Interiors for Change

SITE: Corporate Office park

LOCATION: Boehringer Ingelheim, Midrand

BRIEF: To design a statement installation over a large boardroom table (with some lighting) that is happy and playful.

Taking inspiration from the wide range of unique animals and plants in Southern Africa and recreating them as a ‘mobile’ hung over length of table at various heights (undulating installation).

MOS suggested the ‘Malachite Kingfisher’ as the animal of choice. A tiny tenacious bird with exquisite colourful plumage.

DURATION: September 2020 - January 2021.

PRE-INSTALLATION:

  • 12 CAP lamps installed prior to main installation.

  • Acoustic ceiling tiles reinforced with masonite to distribute the weight as well as prevent post installation tearing or damage that may occur from an unexpected event (no ceiling tiles were lost to damage at any stage).

INSTALLATION: A team of 4 from MOS installed over 3 days.
